Fireworks, loud music, lots of hugs and warm wishes heralded 2013. If you were in any part of the world at 00.00; 01-01-2013, you would agree with me that the year rolled in with lots of pomp and pageantry. Maybe you still chuckle at some of the escapades you and your friends engaged in that day.

Now, we're back to business, formal dressing, emails and a lot of telephone conversation. You're geared up, ready to face 2013 with the speed and grace of a cheetah
I'm not going to ask what your new year resolutions are. People seem to forget all the grand plans they have for the new year, after the first 2-3 months. Rather, I'd like to encourage you to keep doing the good things you used to do in the past year, this time, on a grander scale.
If you were a great team player, aspire to be not just a team player, but a great team/opinion leader. If your work earned you kudos from your supervisor, aim to get a notice from management. If your personal image was 80%, work towards being a role model and do you have a great personality? Marry it with your organisation's goals and brand.
When you focus on improving on and harnessing the positives, you'd have little or no time to grow the negatives.
This year, I crave that you'd get out of your comfort zone. Spread your wings and soar like an eagle, so that when it's time for us to clink our champagne flutes to usher in 2014, you'd look back with a sparkle in your eyes and a glow to your face, knowing that you did a fantastic job. Happy Productive 2013. XOXO.
